As founder of Spencer Financial, Steve worked extensively in the field of financial management since 1985. Steve was a proud graduate of William Jewell College, where he majored in Business Administration. He earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
Steve retired from day-to-day office activities in 2020. He was married to Miriam and enjoyed spending time with his children and being “Papa” to all his grandchildren.

Steve passed peacefully in the Fall of 2025 surrounded by those he loved. Steve believed that true wealth is measured not only in numbers, but also in the relationships, memories, and community we build together.
His vision continues to guide us today through our mission to build and equip a team that serves people and communities through personalized care, passionate service, and the pursuit of excellence in wealth planning and implementation.
